After moving to San Diego a co-worker once told me that I would never get used to not having a fall season. Boy was she right. The weather here is pretty incredible but I yearned for crisp cool nights, wet fallen leaves, and the smell of chimneys smoking. Life just wasn’t the same in the fall months like it was in Ohio. I missed it beyond words. When I moved to Pine Valley, where I thought I would spend the rest of my life, I knew it was going to be my new home. A place where I was going to raise my family. I love the beach, don’t get me wrong, but deep down inside I am a mountain girl and Pine Valley gave me more than just fall seasons, but a community that is special and unique. So as I wrap on my final days before our move to Hidden Meadows, I had to get one more session in before the final leaf fell. Sarah was my model for the evening and in about fifteen minutes I was able to capture the images below. Sarah is one of the many people I am leaving, and although we didn’t spend much time together I feel her warmth and genuine soul during the chilly evening.
One of my favorites!
Great outfit choices with the changing leaves.
Another favorite!
